I'm working on today's to-do list for work and this is what it's looking like:
1. Find a 'witch-like' broom for the Wicked Witch of the West.
2. Find green face paint for the Wicket Witch of the West.
3. Buy some tarts so White Rabbit can get put on trial for stealing them.
4. Find shoes that look like glass slippers for Cinderella.
5. Build/buy/find a monocle for the Mad Hatter, get tea for their tea party and search for more tea cups.
6. Door Mouse needs a tail.
7. Grab an apple for Snow White
8. Dorothy needs more sparkle added to her shoes.
9. Snow White's stepmother needs her dress hemmed, the Duchess needs a completely different outfit and White Rabbit's watch fob needs to show actual numbers.
10. Gretel needs bobby pins. So Does Dorothy.
11. Alice needs a basket, Knave needs gloves.
I have two children's shows in the next week. This is about a third of my to-do list. Sigh. At least it's entertaining. I mean, who else can add 'looking for a glass slipper' to their work list?

I just love your to-do list...want to swap? ;)
Btw check out www.joesgoals.com - I just found it a couple of days ago and added it to my blog :)
Not a bad to do list, especially when mine includes thrilling things like vacuum, thaw meat for dinner, organize office. I'm so boring. I'd give anything to have your to do list for a day!!!!
oh your list sounds fun. good luck with the shows. what do you teach, and what grades?
I am loving your quote of the moment. While I wouldn't quite go that far, I do equate Walmart with hell.
My four-year old niece would love to be the recipient of everything on your list!
That's quite the, to do's.
Love the Wal-Mart quote, by the way!
I look for a glass slipper every day... I just don't get paid for it, so color me very jealous! :)
Arbit- joesgoals.com is genius! I plan on taking full advantage of that site as soon as I stop procrastinating...
Jennifer- i think today I would choose vaccuuming over trying to convince a 9 year old that her costume is "hot". Hello? When were 9 year olds supposed to be hot? That's ridiculous.
Meg- I substitute teach so I get every grade (tomorrow grade 2, Thursday grade 8) and every subject (ugh! highschool chemistry!), but i also teach theatre conservatory at a college to kids 6-16. Which is pretty fun most days. Full access to well stocked costume rooms is a definite plus!
Ally & Party Girl- The quote was said after spending 45 minutes looking for bobby pins. I never did find them and no one who worked there knew where they were. Instead I consoled myself by buying socks, skirts, magazines and a lot of gum.
Sandra- I have to say, that I'm quite jealous of some of the stuff on the list. More than once I've been caught in my office with Cinderella's crown on my head. (It's just so nice!)
Bre- Point taken. However, you had a nice lunch today while I ate a mushy apple and cold leftovers so I'm still a bit jealous of you too!
what an AWESOME to do list. makes mine look even more boring by comparison.
when you're running behind, you cane REALLY say, i'm late, i'm late, for a very important date. or if you had any minions working for you who didn't come through: OFF WITH HER HEAD! or I'll get you my pretty!
I'm having waaaay too much fun with this.
your work to do list sounds a hell of a lot better, or at least sounds more fun, than mine. :(
i wish "looking for glass slippers" was on my today's to do list for work instead of "track down EUB D-056 non-objection notification from Big Oil Company"...
Sounds like a blast.
I make witchy brooms on the side, (http://www.xanga.com/onceblueliz/346441914/item.html) but even if you could use one, I don't think I could get one finished as quick as you need it!
Good luck on the treasure hunt!
That is just adorable. Enjoy
the first few items I thought were euphamisms, then I woke up - fun list!
and I concur re Walmart
Carrie M- I giggled when reading your comment. I have a few of those lines incorporated, my favourite being "OFF WITH YOUR HEAD!". We are still working on getting the volume behind it though..
Trixie- It can be fun, but when you get a kid crying, refusing to wear a costume or just refuse to even say their lines, not so fun..
Brrr- EUB D-056 non-objection notification sounds latin. Is it latin?
kitliz- that broom is incredible!! Next time I know to place an order way in advance. Seriously, how long did that take you?
e.b.- thanks!
Kathryn- I went back and read the first couple and your comment made me laugh. I could see how you could think that.
I think I want your job.
