I second that Emotion

Overheard today...

" Sometimes I feel smarter knowing less. I mean, sometimes information isn't power. It just gets in the way of the stuff you already know."

In other news, I just calculated that I won't be home (ie. in my bed sleeping) for 15 hours. This thought has left me incredibly depressed. Even more depressed than seeing what's-his-face-with-the-ever-changing-hair stay yet another week on American Idol. What gives America?

(And yes, the phrase 'what gives?' is making a comeback. And it's starting today.)

Who the hell knows what gives! Totally crazy!
I heard that it might have something to do with Howard Stern. He's telling people, apparently, to vote the worst one to STAY. Hmm.

I fully concur with that first statement. My brain is too full of ueless information that retrieving the pertinent stuff, like speking in complete and coherent sentences, is tres dificile.

A Canadian that hasn't been on a snowmobile? Doesn't it snow and stuff up there? What gives?

Hmmm, is ignorance really bliss? I don't think I have a choice in the matter, I'm missing too many brain cells.

Sometimes I think life would be way easier if I could just giggle and say "woopsie!" every time I made a mistake.

Alas..

:)

Too funny! What gives is that we Americans are sappy...and we fall in love with the weirdos and underdogs.

The brown guy right? I think its because every brown person on the continent is voting him to stay. PEOPLE LET HIM GO HOME! WE HAVE BETTER REPRESENTATIVES!!!!! That is all. And yes I'm allowed to refer to him as the brown kid. I'm brown. So. Its not a racial comment.

What gives? I love that saying and may have to introduce it in my vocabulary to see what reaction I get lol! I did tell someone at work that they rocked and got a really funny look.

Ugh, I'm not liking the AI finalists much this year. DH & I even began to watch the "next pussy cat doll" reality show on CW channel.

Brandy, I'm with you on all of the above. What gives? is a great phrase, completely appropriate re: the AI contestant with the feathered hair, and also appropriate to ask of people who don't like puppies.

Something tells me you and I would get along just fine. ;)

Whats scary to think is I've been saying 'what gives?' all this time and never knew it went out! Eeek!

This is why we still have "the brown boy"

If I could remember all of the stuff I have learned and forgotten in my lifetime...well, I would need an extra brain!

What gives? Is a perfect phrase. Rock on! (I'm bringing that one back from 1990's obscurity)
